Description
Item Description:The Oldest City in the United States. Of Moorish style of Architecture, this Cathedral was dedicated December 8, 1796. The interior and roofs were destroyed by fire in 1887, but the walls were uninjured. The North Wall was extended and the arms of the cross lengthened in rebuilding. The Campanile was built in 1888 and contains the new Peal of Bells. The old Chime still hangs in the facade, one bearing the date of 1682
