Henderson. - Of the York manual, reprinted in this volume, there appear to have been two editions only; one by Wynkyn de Worde, London, 1509, and a second by Gachet at York, probably later than 1516. Of the first, five copies are known to exist, of the second, a unique copy is preserved in Archbishop Marsh's library, Dublin. There exist also four manuscript copies which have been collated for this edition. cf. Pref., p. [xiii]-xiv. - "The Appendix contains ... an abbreviated reprint of the Sarum manual, and of such manual offices as occur in the missal or manual of the Hereford use ...
