| LOK | |0 938 |l Abstract: The Vatican's new document on disarmament regards the nuclear armaments race as a crime and an insanity. In this respect only a non-violent self defence can be justified. The analysis of this view corresponds to the argument that a deterrent is incompatible with a genuine disarmament. Since the armaments race must lead sooner or later to a lethal dead end, the reasoning of military men can be debunked.
