Summary: | The FABC has been working for over fifty years to theologise in an Asian way. The contextual theological methodology of the FABC is primarily pastoral in orientation, seeking both to be shaped by, as well as to shape daily life experiences in the multireligious, multiethnic, multilingual and pluricultural Asian context. It takes the real-life situation of women and men seriously, especially the marginalised, highlighting the connection between theory and practice. It also employs the method of inculturation which emphasises dialogue and interaction with the local culture and other religions, as well as introspection and the integration of faith and contemplation with analysis. This brief contribution presents and evaluates the way of doing theology promoted by the FABC. |
