Description
Résumé:Catechists in territories of mission: selection, offices and formation (can. 785). In mission territories, we understand the essential role played by the catechists who fully dedicate themselves to the missionary work. This reflection is presented as a more practical analysis of the provisions of the Canon 785 of the CIC and also puts forth some suggestions so as to give a new impetus to this ecclesiastical service that is capable of contributing to that new evangelization of the young Churches which is much discussed today. Following in historical analysis and a more technical one of the aforementioned canon on the steps of other scholars, the author eventually highlights a more practical approach resulting from a field research in West Africa with special focus on the institutions devoted to the formation of pastoral operator - diocesan and inter-diocesan centres and schools for cathechists.
