| Summary: | The interest in the contributions to Economics of the School of Salamanca, in general, and from Francisco de Vitoria, in particular, lies in the models of understanding of human action and its social nature, on the one hand, and in the convergence of these models with contemporary proposals versus the perverse and restrictive effects of the models of human action in modern time. The Vitorian valuation of use and ownership, the value of labour and the common good, the central thesis of the naturally social and communicative character of the human being and the belief of a universal destiny for goods and a necessary order for a common goal for all humanity, are ideas fully coherent with contemporary proposals for a sustainable economy. El interés por las aportaciones a la economía de la Escuela de Salamanca, en general, y de Francisco de Vitoria, en particular, reside en los modelos de comprensión de la acción humana y de su naturaleza social y la convergencia de estos con propuestas contemporáneas frente a los efectos perversos y clausurantes de los modelos propiamente modernos. La valoración vitoriana del uso y la propiedad, el valor del trabajo y el bien común, la tesis central del carácter naturalmente social y comunicativo del ser humano, la proyección de un destino universal de los bienes y un necesario orden por un fin común a la humanidad son ideas coherentes con propuestas contemporáneas para una economía sostenible. |
