| Summary: | The present work aims to understand the parochial activity of the non-cathedral Canons Regular of St. Augustine in northern Iberia, focusing on the parochial networks of three houses of Augustinian Canons within the diocese of León: the Collegiate Church of San Isidoro de León, the Monastery of San Miguel de Escalada and the Monastery of Santa María de Trianos. With this purpose, I will analyze the characteristics of the parochial networks of each institution, the role of canons in the internal life of their parishes, the situation of the parish clergy, and the relationships established with the bishopric of León regarding parishes. El presente trabajo se propone comprender la actividad parroquial de las canónicas regulares no catedralicias en el norte peninsular, poniendo el foco de atención en la implantación parroquial de tres canónicas agustinianas de la diócesis de León: la colegiata de San Isidoro de León, el monasterio de San Miguel de Escalada y el monasterio de Santa María de Trianos. Con este objeto, se examinan las características de las redes parroquiales de cada institución, el rol de los canónigos en la vida interna de las parroquias, la situación del clero parroquial y las relaciones establecidas con el episcopado legionense en torno a las parroquias. |
