YR 2024 UL https://ixtheo.de/Record/188378428X AB This study analyzes the symbology and the underlying cultural values with which the sea appears to be referred to particularly in I and II Enoch, Daniel, IV Ezra, and II Baruch and, from some proto-Christian settings, in Revelation to John. In these texts, some elements are highlighted as the connections between the sea and some discourses centered on primordial cosmology, the relationship between the sea and cosmological entities hostile to Yhwh, the connections between the sea and hostile kingdoms and/or empires.
