Présidée par le métropolite Serafim d'Allemagne (Église roumaine), la rencontre a commémoré le 30e anniversaire du Document de Balamand. Le groupe a réexaminé les conciles de Lyon II (1274) et Ferrare-Florence (1438-1445), soulignant la référence potentielle de Ferrare-Florence pour la recherche d'unité actuelle. Le Document de Balamand (1993) a été analysé, mettant en avant le rejet de l'uniatisme et du prosélytisme. La réception du document a été diverse, conduisant à la rupture du dialogue en 2000, et le groupe a souligné la nécessité d'une histoire commune de l'uniatisme. Le métropolite Serafim a annoncé sa démission, et Grigorios Papathomas a été élu comme nouveau co-président orthodoxe. | ||
