El reconocimiento por la Iglesia católica en 2001 de la autenticidad de la antigua Anáfora de Addai y Mari, que no contiene las palabras de consagración en su formulación tradicional, suscita varias reflexiones. El artículo aborda dos cuestiones: la primera se refiere al sentido teológico de la plegaria eucarística y la segunda a la expresión in persona Christi. La plegaria eucarística y los gestos que la acompañan forman un todo orgánico. El reconocimiento de la autenticidad de la .Anáfora de .Addai y Mari tiene consecuencias también sobre la comprensión de la expresión in persona Christi, que debe integrarse mejor con la fórmula in persona Ecclesiae. Una división demasiado tajante a este respecto ha conducido inevitablemente a una especie de escisión en la comprensión de la plegaria eucarística entre el "yo" del sacerdote que actúa in persona Christi y el "nosotros" de la Iglesia de la plegaria eucarística. | ||
| 520 | |a In the second millennium, theological reflection on the Eucharist was so concentrated on the words of consecration as to make them appear, not only as the most important part of the Mass, but, under certain aspects, also as the only really significant one. Thus the recognition by the Catholic Church, in 2001, of the validity of the ancient Anaphora of Addai and Mari, in which the words of consecration are not found in their customary form, calls for theological reflection of various kinds. This article deals with two questions, of which the first is the theological significance of the Eucharistic Prayer, while the other one concerns the expression in persona Christi. The Eucharistic Prayer and the accompanying gestures form one organic whole. Acknowledging the validity of the Anaphora of Addai and Mari has consequences also for the expression in persona Christi, which is to be more fully complemented by that of in persona Ecclesiae. An excessively emphatic separation of the two would inevitably lead to a sort of sharp divide in the understanding of the Eucharistic Prayer, between the "I" of the priest acting in persona Christi and the "we" of the Church in the Eucharistic Prayer. | ||
