Para Pasolini, la figura de Cristo representa el Arquetipo mítico del hombre que muere para dar sentido a su vida. En este sentido, Cristo se convierte en el Arquetipo de todo hombre que vive y lucha contra la opresión y el yugo del poder. El Cristo de Pasolini muere, resucita y asciende al cielo, no para alcanzar el Reino de los Cielos, sino para permanecer con los hombres bajo la "apariencia" de un Arquetipo, una fuerza motriz, hasta el fin de los tiempos. |
