Certains États fédéraux, afin d’empêcher les conversions religieuses forcées, ont adopté des lois qui s’opposent à l’activité missionnaire des Églises chrétiennes en général, et de l’Église catholique en particulier, et à un degré moindre des religions non chrétiennes. Cet article analyse les raisons profondes qui ont inspiré des législations d’États fédéraux allant à l’encontre de la justice et de l’équité. | ||
| 520 | |a The juridical canonical system of the Catholic Church seeks to guarantee the principle according to which it is important that the Church should enjoy all the freedom of action that it needs to take care of the salvation of men, and that the freedom of conscience of the newly converted be absolutely respected. But in India individual or collective conversion was constantly difficult. Certain federal states to oppose forced religious conversion have adopted laws which forbid the missionary activity of the Christian churches in general and the Catholic church in particular, and to a lesser degree non-Christian religions. This article analyses the deeper reasons which have inspired the legislation of the federal states which runs counter to justice and equity. | ||
