This short document, which accomplished the standardization of the Liturgy of the Hours into the Roman Breviary, and suppressed all other forms of this ancient prayer, offers an important source for considering the complex relationship between catholicity and diversity, placing the crux between these two in apostolicity. In this article, I propose that a consideration of the presuppositions and justification of Quod a nobis offers a complex and engaging assessment of how to reconcile unity and catholicity. | ||
