Summary: | In this Consensual Qualitative Research (cqr) study, expert counselors who held personal spiritual perspectives were examined regarding how their spiritual orientation informed their clinical work. Eleven licensed counselors were asked to describe how their spiritual viewpoint influenced their counseling work in terms of the counseling process, view of clients, spiritual perspective on the work, interventions utilized, challenges faced, and self-care. Six coded categories emerged. Implications for counseling practice and training are discussed. |
