In this essay, we explore one approach to building trust and reaching diverse communities to promote health: engaging community-based organizations (CBOs) as trusted community messengers. We present case studies of partnerships in health promotion, community education, and outreach that showcase how CBOs’ programs build and leverage trust in health care systems through their workforce, services, and engagement with the community. | ||
