RT Article T1 Scientific Paradoxes and the Paradox of Salvation JF The expository times VO 135 IS 2 SP 56 OP 63 A1 Kibble, David G. LA English PB Sage YR 2023 UL https://ixtheo.de/Record/186995310X AB The concept of paradox in science is discussed: some apparent paradoxes turn out not to be paradoxes at all whilst others remain paradoxical. The concept of paradox is then applied to two theological ideas: salvation by faith or salvation by works and judgement to heaven / hell or universalism. It is suggested that the issue of salvation by faith / works is not a paradox at all whilst the idea of judgement to heaven / hell or universalism is a paradox.
