| Summary: | The Ordinariates for the Eastern Catholic Faithful, in territories with Latin rite prevalence are ecclesiastical administrative entities which, while possessing a character of juridical -administrative stability, are at the same time endowed with an intrinsic provisional nature and are oriented towards ecclesial growth and consequent juridical transformation. Normally, this evolution manifested itself in Exarchs and later in Eparchies. The establishment of these Ordinariates requires the solution of various issues: from the ecclesial realization of the “norma missionis”, to the territoriality and personality in the ecclesiastical organization, to the different types of Ordinariates, together with other similar figures; whether or not the ordinariates for the Oriental Catholic Faithful in Latin territory constitute particular Churches and the problem of cumulative jurisdiction; up to the relationship with emigration, mission and new evangelization; finally the fraternal acceptance by the Latin ecclesial communities. Everything, with reference to the indispensable problems and perspectives aimed at the needs, care and ecclesial consideration of such migrant Oriental faithful in predominantly Latin rite territories. |
