Joseph Ratzinger a porté une attention constante à cette question. Avec la parution de Jésus de Nazareth et de l'exhortation post-synodale Verbum Domini, l'"herméneutique de la foi" apparaît comme la réponse de Benoît XVI à l'exigence d'une approche proprement théologique de la Bible qui, en conformité avec les indications du concile Vatican II, sait tirer profit d'authentiques acquis de l'exégèse moderne, tout en montrant, à la suite des Pères de l'Église, l'unité de la Parole biblique. Cet ouvrage met en lumière le concept d'"herméneutique de la foi" proposé par le pape Benoît XVI, à partir de l'ensemble de ses interventions sur le thème des études bibliques. Il esquisse le cadre épistémologique et théologique dans lequel le théologien devenu pape situe la Bible comme Parole de Dieu et cherche à expliciter le rôle de la foi dans l'interprétation de l'Écriture, tout en fournissant quelques illustrations tirées de Jésus de Nazareth." -- | ||
