| Sumario: | The contribution builds on recent research in the field of complexity theory to investigate, from an interdisciplinary perspective, the emergence of creativity in biological processes from an evolutionary and epigenetic perspective with particular attention to the problem of variation, growth, and co-evolution of symbolic forms in living systems. At this level of analysis, the hypothesis is explored, in genealogical terms, to identify certain characteristics at the basis of the possible delineation of a meta-biology of form that closely relates artistic language to that of the biological sciences. From this perspective, the creative dimension of nature is interpreted as an unpredictable emergent reality that cannot be reduced to the laws of the implication of classical physics. |
