Doch wie kann die Gemeinde unter solchen Umständen die Notwendigkeit einsehen, sich um den Bedürfnissen der Welt zu kümmern? Der vorliegende Artikel hebt verschiedene Beziehungen zwischen alter und neuer Schöpfung hervor. Ich untersuche mit Hilfe einer vom Strukturalismus beeinflussten Analyse einige relevante Aspekte des 1. Mosebuchs. Ich zeige typologische Verbindungen zwischen 1. Mose und Offenbarung 21-22, um zu zeigen, dass Schöpfung und Neuschöpfung analog strukturiert sind. Raum und Zeit haben auch in Offenbarung 21-22 einen Platz. Ich zeige ferner, wie die beiden großen Aufträge der Genesis, nämlich die Erde zu beherrschen und den Segen zu vermitteln, in Offenbarung 21-22 immer noch präsent sind. Diese Beobachtungen münden in eine eher ganzheitliche Sicht der Mission der christlichen Kirche. | ||
| 520 | |a In the evangelical realm, the hope of the Church is often focused on the afterlife. The new world of God is understood to be completely detached from the present world. But how then can it be important for the Church to concern itself with the needs of this world? This article highlights various connections between creation and new creation. I will analyse some of the relevant aspects of the book of Genesis with the help of a method influenced by structuralism. I will also draw typological connections between Genesis and Revelation 21-22 in an attempt to show that creation and new creation are structured in analogous ways. Space as well as history matter even in Revelation 21-22. I will also show that the two great mandates of Genesis, viz. to rule the earth and to mediate the blessing, are still present in Revelation 21-22. These observations lead to a more holistic understanding of the mission of the Christian Church. | ||
| 520 | |a Dans le domaine évangélique, l'espérance de l'Église est souvent focalisée sur l'au-delà. Le monde nouveau de Dieu est considéré comme totalement détaché du monde actuel. Mais alors, en quoi est-il important pour l'Église de se préoccuper des besoins de ce monde ? Cet article met en lumière divers liens entre création et nouvelle création. J'analyserai certains aspects pertinents du livre de la Genèse en recourant à une méthode influencée par le structuralisme. J'établirai également des liens typologiques entre la Genèse et Apocalypse 21-22 afin de montrer que création et nouvelle création sont structurées de manière analogue. L'espace comme l'histoire comptent aussi en Apocalypse 21-22. Je montrerai également que les deux grands mandats de la Genèse, à savoir la domination de la terre et la médiation de la bénédiction, sont toujours présents en Apocalypse 21-22. Ces observations conduiront à une conception plus holistique de la mission de l'Église chrétienne. | ||
