Dabei entwickelt sie sich zwischen Treue zum Ursprung (das machtvoll andrängende Reich Gottes) und Gehorsam im Heute (die Zeichen der Zeit). Darin radikalisiert sich die Verschränkung von actio und passio in jedem menschlichen Handeln, was sich Thomas von Aquin anhand der Erörterung von Klugheit und Vorsehung zu Nutze macht. Sechs mögliche Folgerungen für die pastorale Praxis werden skizziert. | ||
| 520 | |a Pastoral work is rooted in God’s action in the world, from which it takes both its material and its formal object, i.e. its subject and its forms of action. Within the context of esthetic practical theology, this specific quality of all pastoral work can be called “contemplative”. Such a “contemplative pastoral” develops between faith to its origins (the powerful urge of the arriving Kingdom of God) on the one hand and obedience to the present moment (the signs of the times) on the other. It thus realizes in a radical way the close interconnection between actio and passio which is part of every human action and which is used byThomas Aquinas in his analysis of Prudence and Providence.
