AB The article is a survey of the three main interpretative positions of Gen 22 in our Century: The first on the religious history orientated approach (H. Gunkel). The second is decidedly on the theology of the cross (G. von Rad) and the modern positions approaching the text by the bible's canon. The last one saves the text from monopolization and overforming, marks the historical difference and interprets this text as anticipation of "Israels calling ('Sinaiprolepse')": Abrahams offer condenses the main attributes of Israel being before God.
