It is precisely in this spiritual framework that we must consider the royal patronage of the Carthusian monasteries of El Paular, Aniago and Miraflores. This paper will analyse the founding processes of these three houses, the funding and endowment of these foundations and the conflicts and tensions that their luxury and wealth aroused within the Order of the Charterhouse, the use of royal coats of arms and badges as an element of propaganda and exaltation of royal power, as well as the conception of these three charterhouses as royal memorial spaces, with a special mention to Isabel de Portugal in relation to Miraflores and its condition as a royal pantheon. | ||

En el presente trabajo se analizarán los procesos fundacionales de las tres casas, la financiación y dotación de estas fundaciones y los conflictos y tensiones que el lujo y riqueza de estas despertó en el seno de la Orden de la Cartuja, el empleo de las armas y divisas reales como elemento de propaganda y exaltación del poder regio, así como la concepción de estas tres cartujas como espacios memoriales de la Corona, con una especial mención a Isabel de Portugal en relación con Miraflores y su condición de panteón real. | ||
