Summary: | The article presents aspects of the poetic work of the Brazilian writer, guitar player, composer and singer Elomar Figueira Mello (1937), in which the religious element of Christian matrix has great importance. In the article there is a highlight of Elomar's language, which has no parallel in the history of Brazilian music. The point of the article is to present Elomar as a country psalmist, taking as a case study his song Joana Flor das Alagoas as a psalm of the Bahian outback. |
