AB Com o Concílio Vaticano II, a Igreja pode ampliar, com os meios de comunicação social, suas formas de evangelizar e avançar não apenas com instrumentos técnicos de comunicação, mas também no aspecto humano, incluindo uma gama de variedades e interferências na cultura midiática atual. O uso dos mass media, das tecnologias digi­tais, das redes sociais etc., sobretudo, durante a pandemia do Covid-19, possibilitou a criação de grupos e comunidades online, bem como a vivência da fé nas famílias, assegurando a todos o acesso à mensagem do Evangelho. Objetiva-se, com este artigo, aprofundar, a partir da Que­rida Amazônia (2020), a importância dos meios de comunicação no contexto de evangelização dos povos da Amazônia, meios fundamentais para compreender as cosmovisões, as tradições, os costumes e a sabe­doria cultural de seus povos. Conclui-se que o Sínodo da Amazônia constitui um momento importante para favorecer a cultura do diálogo, do encontro, do cuidado da Casa Comum e para fortalecer os espaços comunicacionais existentes na região.
AB With the Second Vatican Council, the Church can expand with the media her ways of evangelizing and advancing not only with technical instruments of communication, but also in the human as­pect, including a range of varieties and interferences in current media culture. The use of mass media, digital technologies, social networks etc., especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, enabled the creation of groups, online communities and the experience of faith in families, ensuring access to the gospel message. The objective of this article is to deepen, from the Dear Amazon (2020), the importance of the media in the context of evangelization of the peoples of the Amazon, fundamental means to understand their worldviews, their traditions, customs and cultural wisdom. It is concluded that the Synod of the Amazon is an important moment to foster a culture of dialogue, meeting and care of the Common House and, to strengthen the communication spaces existing in the region.
