Sumario:This paper begins by resuming and deepening some of the elements, already identified by the author in a previous work, on a new and holistic interpretation of the meaning of OT sacrifices, which seems possible to be deduced from a synchronic study of the relative texts of source P in its definitive, canonical form: in the various sacrifices, without prejudice to the peculiarities and specificities of each of them, an allusion of the Passover was present, namely in some way in the ordinary sacrificial cult the celebration of the Passover and the paschal sacrifice was reverberated and prolonged. In short, it seems that P. has characterized his sacrificial system by redesigning sacrifices and ritual aspects, also taken from other neighboring cultures, taking as a model the paschal sacrifice and its ritual. Various cultic and narrative passages are then analysed, which seem to confirm and surprisingly extend this theory to other cultic aspects, and to attest to its presence even in circles and traditions outside P..
