I denne artikkelen vil jeg se på Schønings arbeid med innsamling av kilder, arkivets innhold og hvilken betydning det har for norsk historieforskning. | ||
| 520 | |a Copenhagen is home to a large archive of Gerhard Schøning (1722-1780), a Norwegian historian. After Schøningʼs death in 1780, the king bought the archive and the associated manuscript collection for 1260 riksdaler. A few Norwegian historians have made use of the archive, which consists of 30 boxes of preparations for ongoing publications. The manuscript collection was separated from the archive, and is not well known today. This article examines the archive and manuscript collection. I will also look at the significance these have for Norwegian historical research. | ||
