AB Adding to spirituality a religious creative force driven from it has such a long tradition that it makes extremely difficult to add something new to it. Representatives of a so called "revalorization of religion movement" had showed however that this kind of presenting religion still leaves some possibilities, if not reaching radically beyond those traditions, than at least introducing a fresh and adapting them to modern circumstances. In my opinion such a character has a stance proposed by Gerardus van der Leeuw - one of the key thinkers of the revalorization of religion movement. His phenomenology of religion is making an interesting proposal among others due to the fact that it is an attempt of defending both faith in the poewrof the Christian God and in those powers of Man which make him influence his own fate, as well when he wasn't and isn't Christian.
