| Sumario: | The Roman Catholic religion has been strongly visible in the Polish public space after World War II, but the forms of its presence has evolved, especially as the beginning of the twenty-first century has brought significant changes due to the emergence and dissemination of new media. This article analyzes the media discourse pertaining to religion, which appears in several right-wing portals (niezalezna.pl, wpolityce.pl. salon24.pl) during the presidential campaign in 2015 in Poland. It was assumed that these portals are an environment of the dominant religion in Poland - Roman Catholicism. For the analysis, information portals were selected solely, religious online services were not taken into account. This perspective allows us to explore religion in a dialogue with the social environment: right-wing information portals’ response to the current events, ways of presenting these events and their interpretations. |
