AB Vatican II had a profound impact on changes in the Catholic liturgy in the twentieth century. The text presents the reaction of the conservative environment to the liturgical reforms initiated by the Constitutions Sacrosanctum Concilium. The Priesthood of Sts. Pius X founded in 1969 by Archbishop Marcele Lefebvre tries to cultivate the Catholic liturgy in the form and rite before the Council Reform.
