La première partie du v. 15 contient une expression hébraïque énigmatique, souvent traduite par: «Faites-la sortir dans/entre/à travers les rangs». On défend ici l’idée que LXXB, Aquila, Théodotion et la Vulgate reflètent une forme plus ancienne du texte, où l’on pouvait lire: «Faites-la sortir des cours (du Temple)». La seconde différence textuelle implique un long plus dans le texte antiochien (LXXL) et quelques transpositions. Les très rares chercheurs qui font état de ce problème pensent que LXXL reflète ici le Vieux Grec, et que la Vorlage hébraïque de ce dernier représente la forme la plus ancienne du texte. On montre ici, au contraire, que LXXL constitue ici un texte réécrit et facilitant. | ||
| 520 | |a This article examines two textual variants in 2 Kgs 11:15 that are almost never mentioned, let alone discussed, in the scholarly literature. In this verse, the priest Jehoiada tells some soldiers what they should do with Athaliah, who has just entered the Temple and seen that the young Joash has been crowned. The first part of v. 15 contains an enigmatic Hebrew expression, often translated as: 'bring her out within/between/through the ranks'. It is argued here that LXXB, Aquila, Theodotion and the Vulgate reflect an earlier form of the text, which read 'bring her out of the precincts (of the temple)'. The second textual difference entails a long plus in the Antiochene text (LXXL) and some transpositions. The very few scholars who mention this problem think that LXXL reflects here the Old Greek, and that the Hebrew Vorlage of the latter represents the earliest form of the text. On the contrary, it is argued here that LXXL constitutes a rewritten, facilitating text. | ||
