Dichotomies and concepts that used to be indissociable from the defnition of sacred, such as taboo, tremendum or supernaturality, are disappearing from texts and testimonies of the contemporary new spirituality movement. One can therefore reject the analyzed term as useless for the description of contemporary spirituality, or recognize efforts to change an individual’s life made in the name of personal values and subjective well-being, as having the sacred dimension. | ||
