| Summary: | Artikkelen trekker opp hovedlinjer i Schmitts forfatterskap. De ulike epokene karakteriseres med vekt på hvordan Schmitts tanker har blitt fortolket både på den politiske høyre- og venstreside. Det blir fremhevet at Schmitts store gjennomslag i brede tankestrømninger skyldes blant annet hans treffende kultur- og samfunnsanalyse, særskilt dens brede idehistoriske forankring. Schmitts beskrivelse av hvordan politiske overveielser påvirker tilsynelatende nøytrale prosesser gis også eksempler fra nyere norske bidrag til konstitusjonell debatt og statsrett. The article outlines some main tenets in Schmitt’s publications. Different epochs are characterized by the broad reception in both right- and left-leaning political camps. It argues that one of the main causes for the interest in his writings is due to the analysis of culture and society, particularly how profoundly it is rooted in the history of ideas. Examples from Norway’s academic debate about the constitution are used as exemplifying Schmitt’s political insights. |
