The conceptualization of the crisis is therefore necessarily linked to the concept of time but also to a vision of the history. In fact, in order to react to crisis "Pagans" and Christians conceived a series of chronological schemes (Ages of the world, Ages of Man, translatio imperii etc.), often giving rise to a contamination between forms and traditions. The article examines some of these schemes and some special situations in which they were called to respond to the anxieties of the moment. (English) | ||
