Кожний християнин, що уважно читає послання св. апостола Павла, не може не звернути уваги на те, скільки разів він послуговується, так би мовити, військовою термінологією. Достатньо прочитати 6-ту главу послання до Ефесян (Еф. 6:10-17) - слова, якими також св. п. Патріарх Йосиф закінчив свій Заповіт: «Кріпіться в Господі та в могутності сили його. Одягніться в повну зброю Божу, щоб ви могли дати відсіч хитрощам диявольським. Нам бо треба боротися не проти тіла і крови, але проти начал, проти властей, проти правителів цього світу темряви, проти духів злоби <...> Тому візьміть повну зброю Божу <...>, щоб ви могли дати опір і ... міцно встоятися. Стійте, відтак, підперезавши правдою бедра ваші, вдягнувшись у броню справедливості, і взувши ноги в готовість проповідування Євангелія миру. |
