L’article montre le rôle qu’y joue le principe directeur de la paix juste et souligne que l’incompatibilité des positions de principe actuelles résulte d’hypothèses anthropologiques fondamentalement divergentes quant à la possibilité d’un dépassement complet de la violence et de la guerre. Il ne s’agit pas d’un dilemme, mais d’une contradiction factuelle et logique, celle que «l’option préférentielle pour la non-violence» évite. | ||
| 520 | |a This article traces the main features of the ecumenical debate on peace ethics, which revolves around the relationship between pacifism and the doctrine of just war and which has flared up again on the occasion of the war against Ukraine. It shows what role the guiding principle of a just peace plays in this debate and points out that the incompatibility of the existing basic positions results from divergent basic anthropological assumptions regarding the possibility of a complete overcoming of violence and war. It does not mark a dilemma, but a factual and logical contradiction that the 'preferential option for non-violence' avoids. | ||
