Descrição
Resumo:Two questions concerning Oser's theory of religious judgment are discussed and empirically tested. The first question is about the discriminating value of religious judgment for other aspects of personal religion. The second question concerns the dynamics of the development of religious judgment. It is shown that religious judgment is an indication for the entire religious personality, not merely an isolated component of the way a person copes with contingency. Reflection on personal religion and reduction of uncertainty are important indicators for the dynamics of the development of religious judgment. Concluding remarks are made on the distinction between content and structure and on theological-psychological profiles.
