| Summary: | This article aims to delve into the link that José Jiménez Lozano established between the Spanish mysticism of the 16th century and the Jansenist movement of Port-Royal-des-Champs through the analysis of the traces of the Cistercian tradition in his diaries and essays. The example of Saint Bernard of Clairvaux contributes to better outline the originality of the aesthetics of nudity and disdain of the author of the Guía espiritual de Castilla. Just as his work of fiction wants to give a voice to the excluded and marginalized, in his essays Castilian geography and art constitute a moral landscape that also deserves to be rescued from oblivion and the ruin to which official accounts have subjected them. Thus, some keys are proposed that help to understand the anamnetic meaning of Spanish history between the Middle Ages and Modernity. En este artículo se pretende profundizar en el vínculo que José Jiménez Lozano estableció entre la mística española del siglo xvi y el movimiento jansenista de Port-Royal-des-Champs a través del análisis de las huellas de la tradición cisterciense en sus diarios y ensayos. El ejemplo de san Bernardo de Claraval contribuye a perfilar mejor la originalidad de la estética de la desnudez y el desdén del autor de la Guía espiritual de Castilla. Así como su obra de ficción quiere dar voz a los excluidos y marginados, en sus ensayos la geografía y el arte castellanos constituyen un paisaje moral que también merece ser rescatado del olvido y de la ruina a los que les han sometido los relatos oficiales. Se proponen así algunas claves que ayudan a comprender el sentido anamnético de la historia española entre la Edad Media y la Modernidad. |
