| Summary: | The hypothesis that complex societies are regulated by a kind of unwritten grammar serves to situate the discussion on linguistic ideologies, as a characteristic term of social linguistics and as a phenomenon in itself, nuclear in all social formation. The article briefly considers how ideologies have been studied in the social sciences and how they have been approached in the linguistic sciences, emphasizing the disciplinary distribution, the topics of study and the methodological and delimitation problems of units of analysis. The reflection closes with an appeal to expand the conceptual tools in this field to deal with the new communicative phenomena La hipòtesi que les societats complexes es regulen amb una mena de gramàtica no escrita serveix per a situar la discussió sobre les ideologies lingüístiques, com a terme característic de la lingüística social i com a fenomen en si, nuclear en tota formació social. L’article considera de manera succinta com s’han estudiat les ideologies en les ciències socials i com s’han abordat en les ciències del llenguatge, posant èmfasi en la distribució disciplinar, els tòpics d’estudi i els problemes metodològics i de delimitació d’unitats d’anàlisi. La reflexió es tanca amb una apel·lació a ampliar l’utillatge conceptual en aquest camp per fer front als nous fenòmens comunicatius. La suposición de que las sociedades complejas se rigen por una especie de gramática no escrita ayuda a situar el debate sobre las ideologías lingüísticas como un término característico de la lingüística social y como un fenómeno en sí mismo, nuclear en cualquier formación social. El artículo examina brevemente cómo se han estudiado las ideologías en las ciencias sociales y cómo se han abordado en las ciencias del lenguaje, centrándose en la distribución disciplinar, los temas de estudio y los problemas metodológicos, así como en la delimitación de las unidades de análisis. La reflexión concluye con una llamada a ampliar el uso conceptual en este campo para hacer frente a los nuevos fenómenos de comunicación. |
