| Summary: | The Pontifical University of Salamanca Archives keep and preserve historical records from medieval times. The Spanish Catholic Action Archives represent a great part of the documents kept in the University Archives and are a main source at an international level for the study of 20th Century Spanish Society. This article highlights the great richness of the Spanish Catholic Action archival collections and shows the big chances they have for the research. The archival treatment carried out on the documents eases their consultation by the researchers and general users, and with it we contribute to disseminating the documentary richness of a heritage legacy preserved in Salamanca, collaborating also in this way with the transfer of knowledge and the approaching of documents to the general public. El Archivo de la Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca conserva y custodia documentación histórica desde la época medieval. El Archivo de Acción Católica Española constituye una parte notable de la documentación conservada y custodiada en el Archivo y es un referente a nivel internacional de fuentes de primer orden para el estudio de la sociedad española del siglo XX. En este artículo se muestra la gran riqueza de sus fondos archivísticos y las grandes posibilidades de investigación que tiene. El trabajo técnico archivístico realizado en su documentación facilita la consulta de la misma para investigadores y usuarios en general, y con el mismo se contribuye a difundir la riqueza documental de un legado patrimonial custodiado en Salamanca, colaborando además de esta manera con la transferencia de conocimiento y el acercamiento de los documentos al público en general. |
