The use of modern forms of mobilization contributed to the creation of Catholic Action, an apostolic organization established with the Bases of Cardinal Reig, published in 1926. That Catholic Action showed a triumphalist and re-Christianizing character, but during the Second Republic it was transformed into a possibilistic organization and developed an intense work with important political consequences. To write this article we used the existing bibliography and in the archive of Catholic Action, which in our opinion has not yet been used sufficiently for the 30s. | ||
| 520 | |a Para entender la creación de la Acción Católica en España es preciso remontarse a los orígenes del movimiento católico, a finales del siglo XIX, y al contexto de guerra cultural entre liberalismo y catolicismo. El empleo, por parte de la Iglesia, de repertorios modernos de movilización sentó las bases de lo que posteriormente sería la Acción Católica Española, organización apostólica afianzada a partir de las Bases publicadas por el cardenal primado Reig en 1926. Una Acción Católica caracterizada en un primer momento por un claro carácter triunfalista y recatolizador que, sin embargo, derivaría en posibilista durante la Segunda República, momento en el que desarrolla una intensa labor con evidentes repercusiones políticas. Junto a la bibliografía existente sobre este objeto de estudio nos basamos en la documentación de la propia Acción Católica, a nuestro juicio insuficientemente explorada aún para los años 30. | ||
