Like the heavens, waters and mountains, the body of the prophet and the body of the earth are the places -loci- in which signs show up. In them, we can see how the message is embodied. Within the last centuries, a dualistic, spiritualizing hermeneutic of the Bible has disregarded physical bodies and their signs. For these hermeneutics, the corporeal experience had a secondary place; it was considered a means for the message but not a theological place itself. Here we propose a journey through a gut-wrenching and heart-rending text, in which the prophecy is stamped on the body of the prophet and on the earth. This approach intends to restore authority to the body of Creation and to people who are sensitive to the voice of nature. In particular, we will try to relate the voices in the text with the wisdom of those who currently live and depend on the earth and its fruits. | ||

Nos últimos séculos, uma hermenêutica dualística e espiritualizante da Bíblia despojou os corpos de sua capacidade de falar. Nessas interpretações, a experiência sensível ocupou um lugar secundário, como mero meio para a mensagem e não como lugar teológico. Neste artigo propomos uma viagem por um dos textos mais comoventes do livro de Jeremias, em que o anúncio está impresso no corpo do profeta e no corpo da terra. Esse olhar busca devolver sua autoridade ao corpo da Criação e àqueles que são sensíveis às manifestações da natureza. Em particular, interessa-nos encontrar os pontos de encontro entre as vozes presentes no texto e as daqueles que hoje vivem sobre a terra e através dela. | ||

Como los cielos, las aguas y los montes, el cuerpo del profeta y el cuerpo de la tierra son lugares -loci- en los que ocurren señales. En ellos se encarna el mensaje profético. En los últimos siglos, una hermenéutica espiritualizante y dualista de la Biblia despojó a los cuerpos de su capacidad para hablar. En estas interpretaciones, la experiencia sensible tomaba un lugar secundario, como mero medio para el mensaje y no como lugar teológico. En este artículo proponemos un recorrido por un texto conmovedor, en el que el anuncio se imprime en el cuerpo del profeta y en el de la tierra. Esta mirada busca devolver su autoridad al cuerpo de la Creación y al de quienes son sensibles a las manifestaciones de la naturaleza. En especial, nos interesa buscar los puntos de encuentro entre las voces presentes en el texto, y las de quienes hoy viven en, de y a través de la tierra. | ||
