Summary:The objective of present study is to determine the political effects of Messianic belief on the Abu Moslem movement along with its social consequences in Persia. This study proposes that the messianic belief led to the political revolution of Abu Moslem. Niel Smelser’s theory of collective behavior was used in this study through six necessary elements for messianic tradition of collective behavior to emerge in Abu Moslem movement.
