Resumo: | The aim of this paper is to present, quite synthetic, the thought of Friedrich D. E. Schleiermacher (1768-1834) and the possibility of a relationship between it and the phenomenology of religion. It is intended to seek a rapprochement between the analysis about the feeling of absolute dependence, as foreshadowed in Über die Religion and developed later in Glaubenslehre, and the emphasis on the experience of consciousness operated by phenomenology. We demonstrate that Schleiermacher’s thought can be classified as proto-phenomenological, since it addresses the essence of religion as well as the concern for the primacy of experience as a pre-conceptual structure. |
