Description
Summary:The book "The German Peasant War", by Friedrich Engels, written in 1850, bur only published in 1870, is one of the major references upon the relationship between politics and religion in the marxist thought. In this book, Engels’ analysis about the Peasants’ War of 15624-1525, emphasised the role of the greatest leader of the peasant rebellion, preacher Thomas Müntzer, outling mostly his role as a political leader than the religious issues which motivated the start of the Peasants’ War. Thus, this book became a masterpiece for the further marxist political theory, specially for those thinkers who dedicated to link religion and politics.
