Summary:Though Mathematics is mostly considered as a subjectof the intelligent, it is used by everybody for daily activities. Itacts as an efficient agent of dialogue in the society. Its role intransferring abstract knowledge to concrete experience, ininterpreting the unknown and as a tool for problem-solving arediscussed in this paper. Mathematics also helps human beings totranscend from concrete experience to abstract knowledge. Thispaper showcases various elements of Mathematics over a widespectrum, from those useful in everyday life of human beings tothe discussions on potential and actual infinity. Mathematics isan integral part of human life and an essential tool in knowingthe universe. We do not deliberately side with any of the schoolsin Mathematics or that of Philosophy.
