They are, however, not in agreement with regard to the description of the nature of Brahman, His relation to the empirical world, the direct way for the realization of Him, etc. Theistically based systems of absolutist metaphysics believe that Brahman is a concrete Being and as such is identity in difference. They state that bhakti is the direct pathway for the realisation of the Supreme Being. In this context, Bhakti is defined as monotheism based on devotion to a personal God. Bhakti as a feeling of religious devotion still constitutes a part of every living religion.
