Σύνοψη: | The study of symbolism is mostly a question of interpretation and not scientific investigation, The interpretation should be such as to appeal naturally to one's reason and common sense. In fact, it is possible to have more than one interpretation of the same symbol both equally reasonable and illuminating. It is also possible that one may not be able to interpret a particular symbol or may interpret it incor- rectly. The important thing about symbolism is not the exact meaning of everything, but the fact that everything has a meaning and generally a profound significance related to spiritual life. |
