| Summary: | After more than five decades, what has become of Liberation Theology? What are its current state and its relevance? This is the question that this article aims to answer, in all modesty. In order to do so, (1) the article briefly reviews Liberation Theology’s journey at the heart of the Latin American Church from its birth to the present day, and (2) it presents, roughly speaking, the current themes of liberation theologians. The conclusion discusses the relevance and the future of Liberation Theology for the Church and for theology in general. Après plus de cinq décennies parcourues, qu’en est-il de la Théologie de la libération? Quelle est son actualité et sa pertinence? C’est à cette question que cet article veut, en toute modestie, répondre. Pour ce faire, (1) l’article survole sommairement le parcours de la TdL au cœur du cheminement de l’Église latino-américaine depuis sa naissance à nos jours, et (2) il présente, succinctement, les thématiques actuelles des théologiens et théologiennes de la libération. La conclusion porte sur la pertinence et le futur de la TdL pour l’Église et pour la théologie en général. |
