| Summary: | This text see ksto establish a relation ship between studies on religion in Brazil and theso-called History of the Present Time. It starts from some research in History and religion developed in the Post-Graduation where this relation shipseems to becon figured. From there, it discusses the characteristics and debates relevant to the History of the Present Time. Then, it moves onto a typology of the main historiographical currents of religion. Then, it performs a brief experiment of possible intersections bet ween the focus of the present time and the historiographies of religion. Finally, it concludes by resuming the aforementioned research and expanding the debate to the approaches of Protestantism/ evangelicals, Afro-Brazilian Religions, new age spiritualities and the public presence of religions, where they can benefit from the dialogue with the Histor yof the Present Time. |
